Tehran, Iran – June 26, 2025 – In a pivotal televised address, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Republic, delivered his third message following recent conflicts, celebrating Iran’s multifaceted victories and emphasizing the nation’s unyielding stance against external pressures.

The address, delivered on June 26, 2025, honored the memory of martyred generals and scientists, whom he described as genuinely valuable individuals who dedicated their lives to service.

Khamenei extended congratulations to the Iranian nation on several fronts:

  • Decisive Victory Over the Zionist Regime: The Supreme Leader declared a significant triumph over what he called the “fallacious Zionist regime”. He asserted that the regime, despite its claims, was “practically knocked out and crushed under the blows of the Islamic Republic”. He highlighted that the Iranian Armed Forces, aided by God, successfully breached the enemy’s advanced, multi-layered defenses, raining powerful missile attacks on many of their urban and military areas. This demonstrated that “attacking the Islamic Republic of Iran carries a heavy price,” a reality that has now been realized. This honor was attributed to the Armed Forces and the Iranian people who built, trained, and supported them.
  • Confronting and Defeating the US Regime: Khamenei also congratulated the nation on its victory over the US regime, which he stated directly intervened in the conflict to prevent the complete destruction of the Zionist regime. Despite its intervention, the US “achieved nothing significant”. He specifically cited US attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, deeming this an act warranting an independent criminal prosecution in an international court.

Khamenei dismissed the US President’s “bizarre exaggeration” about the events as an attempt to “cover up and conceal the truth” of their failure. In retaliation, Iran “delivered a heavy slap to the US’s face,” attacking and damaging the Al-Udeid Air Base, identified as one of the US’s key bases in the region. This action, which US officials attempted to downplay, was presented as a major event demonstrating the Islamic Republic’s capability to access and act against key US centers in the region whenever necessary, with the warning that such actions could be repeated if any aggression occurs.

  • Exceptional National Unity and Solidarity: A third point of congratulation was the “remarkable unity and solidarity shown by the Iranian nation”. Khamenei lauded the approximately 90 million people who “stood together as one, were united in voice, stood shoulder to shoulder, and didn’t show any differences in their demands or the goals they expressed”. He noted their vocal support for the Armed Forces, affirming that this unity would persist. This event showcased the Iranian nation’s “greatness and its distinguished, exceptional character,” demonstrating its capacity for a unified voice when needed.

Khamenei then underscored a critical core issue, highlighting a recent statement by the US President demanding that Iran “must surrender”. He clarified that the conflict is no longer merely about enrichment or the nuclear industry but fundamentally about Iran’s surrender. While acknowledging that such a statement is “too big to come out of the US president’s mouth” given Iran’s history, culture, and steadfast determination, he stressed that it unveiled a long-standing reality.

He explained that the US has consistently opposed and tried to harm Islamic Iran since the Revolution, using various pretexts such as human rights, democracy, women’s rights, uranium enrichment, the nuclear issue, or missile development. These pretexts, he asserted, disguise the true objective: Iran’s surrender, a goal that previous administrations dared not openly state due to its unacceptability and lack of logical justification.

The Supreme Leader stated that this recent declaration exposed the truth that the US will only be satisfied with Iran’s surrender and nothing less. He emphasized that the Iranian nation must understand this as “the core of the conflict with the US”. Khamenei firmly rejected this demand, asserting that “such a thing will never happen”.

He lauded Iran as a “great nation,” a “strong, vast country” possessing an “ancient civilization” and a cultural and civilizational wealth “hundreds of times greater than that of the US”. He concluded that anyone expecting Iran to surrender is “spouting nonsense that will surely be ridiculed by wise, knowledgeable people,” affirming that “the Iranian nation is noble and will remain noble”.

Khamenei ended his address with a message of hope and divine protection, stating that “the Iranian nation is victorious and will remain victorious, by the grace of God,” and expressing hope for continuous divine grace, dignity, and honor for the nation, as well as the pleasure and support of Imam Mahdi.
