Learning about artificial intelligence (AI) has never been so imaginative. Today marks the release of the groundbreaking new picture book, AI for Kids Picture Book,” designed to demystify complex concepts and introduce young readers to the technology that shapes their world.

The book, created by Rakesh Raman, aims to bridge the digital literacy gap by presenting core AI principles—like machine learning, algorithms, and data—through relatable stories and vibrant illustrations. Even better, this isn’t just a reading experience; it’s an interactive online book, built using Google AI technologies. Children can actively engage with the material by clicking buttons to instantly draw their own chapter illustrations using AI image generation, and complete fun, hands-on exercises directly in the browser.

It answers the fundamental question, “What is AI?” in a way that is engaging for primary school children aged 5-10, transforming potentially intimidating topics into exciting adventures.
