Authorities in California have arrested a 38-year-old man, Jeanine John Taele, near a golf course owned by President Donald Trump in the Los Angeles area. The arrest occurred on a Sunday afternoon, just ahead of the president’s scheduled visit to the Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes for a Republican party fundraising dinner.

Investigators stated that Taele was observed walking throughout the grounds while taking photographs and videos, appearing to monitor security-planning activities. Federal agents in plainclothes reported the suspicious behavior to local authorities, leading to the discovery of a pistol and illegal ammunition in his possession. Taele was also being sought in connection to a robbery in nearby El Segundo.

During the arrest, police found Taele carrying a 16-round magazine containing hollow point ammunition, which is designed to cause maximum damage to vital organs and is banned in California. A search of his vehicle yielded a loaded pistol and additional high-capacity magazines.

The investigation escalated on Monday when agents from the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department raided the suspect’s home in Downey. Inside the residence, officials discovered an illegally modified AR platform rifle, a .45 caliber pistol, body armor, and a plethora of bullets. Furthermore, investigators recovered multiple notebooks containing “concerning statements”. While officials have not yet identified a “credible threat” to the community, the case is being treated with high vigilance due to the potential security implications for the president.

These domestic security concerns coincide with a provocative escalation of threats from abroad. In Tehran’s Enghelab Square, a massive billboard was recently erected depicting President Trump lying in an open coffin with the explicit message, “We Will Kill Trump,” written in both Persian and English. This display is part of a broader visual communication strategy by the Islamic republic following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Additionally, a conservative Iranian newspaper has published a “kill list” of 13 foreign leaders targeted for revenge, which includes President Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
