Samsung Teams Up with Warner Bros. and DC Studios for “Superman” Global Partnership

The new “Superman” film, directed, written, and produced by James Gunn, marks the debut of DC Studios’ new cinematic universe.

SEOUL, South Korea – Samsung Electronics has announced a global partnership with Warner Bros. and DC Studios to commemorate the highly anticipated new “Superman” film, launching a comprehensive campaign that includes fan activations, exclusive video content, and limited-edition digital artworks. This collaboration aims to enrich the entertainment experience for fans worldwide.

The new “Superman” film, directed, written, and produced by James Gunn, marks the debut of DC Studios’ new cinematic universe and is set to premiere globally starting July 9. To celebrate its release, Samsung is rolling out a global campaign under the tagline, “It’s not just big. It’s super big,” bringing the excitement of the film to audiences across various digital platforms, retail locations, and public spaces.

As part of the initiative, London will see the appearance of Daily Planet-themed newsstand kiosks in high-traffic areas like The Shard and Kings Cross Station. In Asia, major malls in countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, and Korea will host interactive activations, featuring Superman-themed photo booths, immersive pop-up displays, and hands-on product experiences.

Fans will also have opportunities to acquire limited-edition Superman-themed merchandise, receive exclusive gifts, and participate in a global social media challenge. By sharing event photos or videos, participants can enter to win “super prizes,” including a 98-inch Samsung TV.

Further enhancing the partnership, Samsung Art Store, a prominent digital art platform on Samsung Art TVs, will feature a limited-time, 10-piece Superman digital art collection from DC Comics. This collection will be available for free to users from July 1 through August 31 on The Frame, as well as 2025 QLED and Neo QLED models, offering a new way for fans to enjoy Superman-inspired art in their homes.

Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, emphasized Samsung’s dedication to creating “a richer and more meaningful entertainment experience”. He added that through collaborations with leading creative studios and artists, Samsung continues to help people engage more deeply with their beloved stories and characters, “whether in the theater or at home”.

The campaign also highlights Samsung’s Super Big TV lineup, which includes 98-inch, 100-inch, and 115-inch Class options across Neo QLED and Crystal UHD models. These expansive screens feature stunning picture quality and AI-powered enhancements designed to deliver smoother images and deeper contrast, aiming to provide a grander home entertainment experience.
