Bihar Assembly Election Schedule Announced Amidst Allegations of Election Fraud

RMN News Report Highlights:

📅 The Bihar Assembly election is set to be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting scheduled for November 14.

🤖 The election is marked by a controversy surrounding the ‘special intensive revision’ (SIR) of the voter list, which critics claim is merely a “facade to hide EVM fraud,” asserting that EVM manipulation alone determines the election outcome.

💸 Due to the use of vulnerable electronic voting machines (EVMs), Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP is expected to win. Following the victory, the BJP plans to claim success stems from the recently launched Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana, a scheme valued at Rs 7,500 crore.

🤫 This financial initiative, which involved transferring Rs 10,000 to the bank accounts of 75 lakh women, is alleged to be only a “Smokescreen” designed to conceal the electoral manipulation that is expected to help the BJP win the Assembly election fraudulently.

The Election Commission (EC) announced Monday afternoon that the Bihar Assembly election will be conducted in two phases, taking place on November 6 and November 11. The counting of votes is scheduled for November 14. The state features 243 total seats, with 121 seats slated for voting in the first phase and the remainder in the second.

The election will primarily be contested between two major alliances: the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal United-led alliance and the Mahagathbandhan led by the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal. Additionally, Prashant Kishor, who claims to be an election strategist, will make his electoral debut in Bihar with his new party, Jan Suraaj, which intends to contest all 243 seats in the state.

Controversy Shadows Campaigning

Campaigning and voting for the election will occur under the shadow of a “furious political and legal controversy” regarding the Election Commission’s special intensive revision‘ (SIR) of the state’s voter list. The EC accused critics of conducting an ‘online campaign against the exercise,’ although it maintained that new cards had already been issued to verified voters.

However, critics allege that SIR is merely a “facade to hide EVM fraud,” arguing that most opposition leaders, such as Rahul Gandhi, are naive and do not understand that SIR has no actual impact on the election outcome. These critics insist that the election outcome is determined exclusively by the manipulation of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

Financial Scheme Allegedly a ‘Smokescreen’

Due to the election being conducted on “vulnerable electronic voting machines (EVMs),” Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s BJP is expected to win as usual. This expectation is drawn from the BJP’s prior victories in states including Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Haryana, and Rajasthan, as well as the Lok Sabha elections.

After the expected victory, the BJP plans to claim that its success is a result of the recently launched Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana for Bihar. This scheme, valued at Rs 7,500 crore, involved transferring Rs 10,000 each to the bank accounts of 75 lakh women in the state and promises additional support of up to Rs 2 lakh for entrepreneurial skill enhancement.

Despite this, sources allege that the financial initiative is only a Smokescreen behind which Modi and the BJP are planning to secure election victories through electoral manipulation. While Modi and the BJP will claim victory is due to the financial help provided to women, it is asserted that election manipulation will actually help them win the Assembly election fraudulently in Bihar.
