Uttar Pradesh possesses the largest state legislature in India, with 403 Assembly constituencies where 202 seats are required to secure a majority. The next state Assembly election is expected to take place in February or March 2027, subject to official scheduling announcements by the Election Commission of India. Administrative adjustments to the national Census timetable have further reinforced expectations surrounding this timeframe.
