🔊 दिल्ली की खतरनाक सड़कें: ऑडियो विश्लेषण
Today’s “Picture of the Day” captures a chilling reality from New Delhi’s streets, vividly illustrating the profound neglect by its governing authorities. The first image reveals a broken road, marred by a large pool of stagnant, muddy water – a notorious breeding ground for disease and a clear threat to both vehicle and pedestrian safety.
The second photograph is even more alarming: an open manhole overflowing with what appears to be blue, poisonous water, reminiscent of toxic chemicals like blue vitriol. This presents an immediate and deadly hazard, capable of spreading serious ailments and posing an existential threat to unsuspecting pedestrians.
These images – by Rakesh Raman, Managing Editor, RMN News – are a stark indictment of the corruption and apathy that seemingly permeate Delhi’s political and bureaucratic landscape. They paint a grim picture of officials who appear “hell-bent to give a painful life” to the city’s 30 million (3 crore) residents. The absence of basic infrastructure maintenance and public safety measures transforms daily commutes into perilous journeys, reflecting a profound disregard for citizen well-being.

The pervasive problems of broken roads, open manholes, and stagnant, contaminated water are not mere inconveniences; they are symptoms of a deeper systemic failure that directly threatens public health and safety. In a capital city of such magnitude, such negligence is inexcusable.
