Samsung Electronics has announced a major global rollout of creator-led channels on its free ad-supported streaming television service, Samsung TV Plus. The expansion brings an array of digital entertainment, science, lifestyle, and news programming to audiences across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.

By expanding these offerings, Samsung TV Plus aims to strengthen the connection between the growing digital creator economy and connected television platforms, offering digital storytellers access to its global base of 100 million monthly active users.

New Creator Channels by Region

The new global offerings introduce localized creator content tailored to viewer preferences across several major markets:

  • United Kingdom: In partnership with 208 Studios, Samsung TV Plus launched three new creator channels:
    • Happy Place: Features interviews from the popular podcast hosted by Fearne Cotton, who reaches over 15 million social media followers.
    • Golf Life: Combines golf and comedy featuring Ange, Jimmy, and Tubes Bullard, who command a fanbase of more than 3 million combined followers.
    • JOE Media: Delivers news and entertainment programming from the prominent U.K. media outlet, which reaches over 30 million cross-platform followers.
  • Asia-Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand):
    • Luke Nguyen’s World: Highlights Australian-Vietnamese chef, restaurateur, and television personality Luke Nguyen as he travels to explore culinary arts, culture, and travel. The channel features over 95 episodes spanning nine seasons, expanding on content previously broadcast in over 150 countries.
  • Latin America (Brazil and Mexico):
    • Mark Rober TV: Extends its dedicated 24-hour science and engineering channel into Spanish and Portuguese-speaking markets. The channel features dubbed content from former NASA engineer Mark Rober, who reaches over 79 million followers across platforms.

Bridging Digital Creators and Global Television

The expansion highlights the increasing convergence of social digital media and linear connected television services. Salek Brodsky, Head of Global TV Plus at Samsung Electronics, emphasized the significance of this transition for independent content creators and television viewers alike.

“The creator economy has become a global phenomenon, reshaping how audiences discover and engage with content,” Brodsky stated. “Samsung TV Plus is at the forefront of this evolution, giving creators a global platform to grow their brand and connect with millions of viewers through television.”

Samsung TV Plus already hosts prominent digital media brands and personalities, including Dhar Mann, Michelle Khare, Smosh, and The Try Guys. The platform continues to expand its content portfolio without requiring a subscription, login, or additional hardware, solidifying its position in the global FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) market.
